This Cookie Policy explains how Plumb Finance Inc. ("Plumb," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on plumbfinance.com and in the Plumb app. It is part of, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy.

Counsel note: Plumb's brand posture is to avoid ad-tech entirely. This policy is written to let Plumb truthfully state it uses no third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. Before publishing, confirm against the actual deployed tag/SDK inventory that no advertising or cross-context-behavioral-advertising technologies are present, and fill in the named first-party analytics provider.

1. The short version

We don't run the ad-tech playbook. Plumb uses no third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not sell or share your data for advertising. We use only the cookies needed to make Plumb work, to remember your preferences, and to understand and improve the Services through privacy-respecting, first-party analytics. You can manage non-essential cookies anytime through our preference center, and we honor browser-based opt-out signals like the Global Privacy Control.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. "Similar technologies" include pixels, web beacons, local storage, and software development kits (SDKs) in our app. They let a site or app remember information about your visit. We do not use third-party advertising pixels or retargeting tags.

3. The categories we use

We group the technologies we use into three categories. We do not use a fourth, advertising/retargeting category — by design.

a. Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for the Services to function — for example, to log you in securely, keep your session active, route traffic, remember your cookie choices, and protect against fraud and abuse. These cannot be switched off because the Services won't work without them. They do not require consent.

b. Functional (optional)

Remember your preferences and choices (such as settings, language, or display options) to give you a smoother, more personalized experience. If you disable these, some conveniences may not work.

c. Analytics / performance (optional)

Help us understand how people use Plumb — which features are used, where errors occur, and how to improve — using first-party, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles or to track you across other companies' websites.

Counsel note: If any session-replay tool is added, disclose it here and treat replay of sensitive screens carefully. If the analytics provider is changed to one that could constitute a "sale/share," this section and the Privacy Policy must be revised and consent/opt-out mechanics added.

4. Managing your cookie choices

You have several ways to control non-essential cookies:

• Consent banner. The first time you visit plumbfinance.com, you'll see a banner letting you accept or reject non-essential (functional and analytics) cookies. Strictly necessary cookies stay on.
• Preference center. You can change your choices anytime through our cookie preference center, reachable from the "Cookie Preferences" link in our website footer.
• Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Refer to your browser's help pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Services.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor GPC and similar universal opt-out signals as a request to opt out of any sale/share, in the states that require it. Because we do not engage in advertising-related sale/share, there is little or nothing to opt out of — but we still honor the signal.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our technologies or the law change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
