Acceptable Use Policy
How you may and may not use Plumb — the conduct we prohibit, the security expectations we have of you, and how we enforce them.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for using Plumb, operated by Plumb Finance Inc. ("Plumb," "we," "us"). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. Violating this AUP is a breach of the Terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account.
The goal is simple: keep Plumb safe, secure, lawful, and working well for everyone.
1. Who this applies to
This AUP applies to everyone who accesses or uses the Plumb website (plumbfinance.com), apps, and related services (the "Service").
2. Use the Service only for its intended purpose
You may use the Service only for your own personal, lawful, non-commercial financial-wellbeing purposes, in accordance with the Terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission.
3. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to do any of the following, and not to help or permit anyone else to:
3.1 Unlawful or harmful use
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Use the Service to launder money, finance illegal activity, or evade sanctions.
- Infringe or misappropriate anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or harm any person, or upload unlawful, abusive, or obscene content.
3.2 Account, identity, and data-connection integrity
- Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading registration or identity information, or impersonate any person or entity.
- Connect any financial account, card, or credit profile that is not yours or that you are not authorized to access.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account or login credentials, or let anyone else use your account.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
3.3 Security
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system or network, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure.
- Introduce or transmit any malware, virus, worm, or other harmful code.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or impose an unreasonable load on the Service, servers, or networks (including denial-of-service activity).
- Access the Service through someone else's credentials or through unauthorized means.
3.4 Automated access, scraping, and reverse engineering
- Use any bot, scraper, crawler, spider, or other automated means to access, scrape, harvest, or copy any part of the Service or its data, except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
- Bypass, or attempt to bypass, any rate limits, access controls, or
robots.txtor similar instructions. - Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, models, or underlying ideas of the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or our software.
- Frame, mirror, or republish the Service or its content without permission.
3.5 Misuse of the AI coach and content
- Attempt to manipulate, "jailbreak," or extract the underlying prompts or models of the AI money coach, or use it to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
- Use the Service or any output to provide regulated investment, legal, tax, or credit-repair services to third parties, or to build a competing product or dataset.
- Misrepresent Plumb's educational content as professional advice from Plumb.
4. Security expectations for you
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential and using strong, unique credentials and available security features (such as multi-factor authentication);
- Keeping your devices and email account secure; and
- Notifying us promptly at support@plumbfinance.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account, or any security vulnerability in the Service.
Counsel note: Provide a responsible-disclosure / security-contact channel and confirm whether a formal vulnerability-disclosure policy or safe-harbor for good-faith researchers should be referenced here. Align with the FTC Safeguards Rule program.
5. Reporting violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP — including suspected fraud, abuse, or a security issue — please report it to support@plumbfinance.com.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may take any action we consider appropriate, including warning you, removing content, limiting features, suspending or terminating your account, preserving and disclosing information where required by law or to protect rights and safety, and reporting conduct to law enforcement. We are not obligated to monitor use of the Service but may do so.
We may modify this AUP from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated as described in the Terms.
