Billing & Cancellation
The plain-English version of how billing works: your free trial, your plan and price, how renewals work, and how to cancel in one tap.
DRAFT — for attorney review. Not legal advice. This is a plain-language summary for convenience. The full, binding terms are in our Terms of Service, Section 6 (Subscription, billing & auto-renewal), Section 7 (Cancellation), and Section 8 (Refunds & guarantee). If anything here differs from the Terms, the Terms control.
We keep this simple, because that is the whole point of Plumb. Here is exactly how billing, free trials, renewals, and cancellation work.
Your free trial
- Plumb starts with a 7-day free trial.
- You add a payment method to start, but you are not charged during the trial.
- Unless you cancel before day 7, your trial automatically turns into a paid subscription and we charge your payment method the price of the plan you chose.
- We will tell you the date your trial ends and the exact amount before you start, and we will email you a reminder before the trial converts.
Your plan and price
| Plan | Monthly |
|---|---|
| Plumb | $14.99 / month |
| Plumb+ | $24.99 / month |
| Plumb Premier | $34.99 / month |
- Prices are in U.S. dollars, plus any applicable tax.
How renewals work
- Plumb is a subscription, so it automatically renews each month until you cancel, on your billing date.
- Before you ever pay, we show the price, the billing schedule, and the fact that it auto-renews right next to the payment button, and you give a separate "yes" to the recurring charge — it is not buried in the fine print.
- If we ever change your price, we will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancelling — as easy as signing up
- You can cancel anytime, online, in your account settings or the app — in a few clicks. Same easy way you signed up.
- No phone calls. No retention runaround. You can also email us at support@plumbfinance.com.
- Cancel during your free trial and you are never charged.
- Cancel a paid plan and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for; you will not be billed again.
Refunds
- Outside the free trial and the guarantee below, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, and cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding the current period. If something looks like a billing mistake, tell us — we will make it right.
- Ask us before you dispute. If a charge from us does not look right, email support@plumbfinance.com before disputing it with your bank. A refund from us is faster than a chargeback, and we do not argue about honest mistakes. Your legal right to raise a billing-error dispute with your card issuer is unchanged either way.
- One recovery. If your bank reverses a charge, that satisfies any refund we would owe for the same charge — we will not send a duplicate refund on top of it.
- Repeated abuse. An account used to file fraudulent or repeated meritless payment disputes may be closed. Otherwise, if you disagree with a charge, take it up in whatever way works for you — including with your bank.
- Nothing here takes away refund or other rights you have under the law in your state.
The Plumb Premier money-back outcome guarantee
Our top tier, Plumb Premier, comes with a money-back outcome guarantee. It is a real promise with clear conditions — here is the short version:
- Who: Active Plumb Premier subscribers only.
- The promise: If you [achieve/don't achieve the specific, measurable outcome] after [staying subscribed and following the plan for the qualifying period], you can get your money back.
- What you do: [Use the product as directed — stay connected, complete your plan, and attend your included counselor sessions], then request your refund within [30] days after the qualifying period.
- What you get back: [The Premier fees you paid during the qualifying period], returned to your original payment method within [30] days of approval.
- The full conditions, the exact outcome, how it is measured, and the exclusions are in Section 8.2 of the Terms. Please read them — they all apply.
Counsel note: This friendly summary must mirror the finalized Section 8.2 exactly once the outcome, measurement, window, obligations, and refund mechanics are set. Per FTC guidance, all material conditions of a "money-back guarantee" must be disclosed clearly and prominently wherever the guarantee is promoted, including any marketing page.
